Hiab and Artics

We have been trading for more than 30 years and take pride in operating a diverse range of modern vehicles ranging from our newest ‘baby’ – a 7.5T GVW MAN equipped with a rear mounted Fassi F70 able to lift 300kg at 12.7m radius – ideal for loft extensions and small domestic projects to the 8-wheeled 32T GVW equipped with a front mounted Fassi F660 and winch and able to lift an impressive 1.3T at a radius of 24.8M.

The Artics pull a variety of trailers ranging from extendable trailers - from 45-65ft and step frames with a main bed length of 31ft plus 14ft on the neck and a floor height of just under 3ft.

The slide and tilt is also useful for transporting small items of wheeled and tracked plant and vehicles to and from site and is also equipped with a 17T/M hiab capable of lifting 1T at 12m.

The vehicles are fitted with trackers to enable us to pinpoint their location and quickly respond to customer queries regarding the whereabouts of their deliveries.  We also have paperless delivery notes that we can send immediately to customers if required.

FORS

Prior to becoming FORS accredited we were committed to vehicle & operator safety and invested in training and vehicle technology before it became the norm.  We started off with Bronze level certification progressing to Silver and will soon, subject to approval from FORS be progressing to Gold to meet the requirements of our clients.  The vehicles are also CLOCS, Crossrail and HE compliant.

All our vehicles are fitted with blind spot elimination technology to ensure that other road users are as visible as possible to our drivers with a four camera system which allows the driver to quickly see if there is anything around the vehicle and that we are as visible to other road users with strobe lights and a verbal message to warn other road users that we are turning left. The larger hiabs are also fitted with downwards facing lights mounted on the body of the vehicle plus additional jib mounted lights to make our night-time works as safe as possible.

FORS is voluntary scheme and is open to any company operating commercial vehicles including vans, lorries, mini-buses and coaches and accreditation provides a quality and performance benchmark and helps improve operators’ performance in the areas of safety, fuel efficiency, economical operations and vehicle emissions

Accreditation also provides us with the tools to become safer, greener and more efficient. It is an excellent way to prove to our existing and potential customers our credentials as a high performing operator who adheres to not just high quality standards but to high safety standards.
